Scaffold Safety 29 CFR 1926.450 Subpart L

The scaffold safety training course covers the following subject areas:

Specific safety requirements for the following types of scaffolding will be taught as necessary for the students in the classroom:

Bricklayers
Catenary
Fabricated frame
Form and Carpenter Bracket
Interior Hung
Ladder Jack
Mobile
Needle Beam
Outrigger
Plasterers
Pump Jack
Repair Bracket
Roof Bracket
Step, Platform and Trestle Ladder
Suspension
Window Jack

Training provides information on OSHA scaffolding requirements and the hazards associated with scaffold work. The course details the individual types of scaffolds, inspection requirements, fall protection, falling objects, moving and altering scaffolding, controlled access zone, and more.

This course takes place over approximately 4 hours. Students receive a wallet card upon completion of the class.

Competent Person Course for Scaffolds

This course is designed for anyone who is responsible for the erection, dismantling and/or use of supported scaffolding systems. Gain a better in-depth understanding of the OSHA requirements for supported scaffolding in construction and increase your knowledge of the necessary requirementsto to be considered competent under OSHA'srule as it relates to scaffolding systems.
